Our
Company
LNG Newfoundland and Labrador Limited (LNG NL) is a locally owned and operated corporation focused on permitting and developing the liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure needed to monetize the significant stranded natural gas in the offshore Jeanne d’ Arc Basin 340 km east-southeast of St. John’s, NL.
Our team has the knowledge, community and Indigenous partnerships, and the legal and technical skills needed to execute this project in a responsible, timely, and cost-effective manner. The ability to utilize 100% renewable hydroelectric energy for the cleaning and liquefaction of the natural gas and our proximity to high demand EU markets makes the LNG NL project one of the most unique and greenest LNG projects in the world.

Located at Conne River on the south coast of the island of Newfoundland, Miawpukek’s involvement with LNG NL has been endorsed nationally by the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (FNMPC). Through its majority owned joint venture company, Horizon Maritime Services, the Miawpukek will see active participation in the project.
Is There a Greener LNG?
Why Newfoundland LNG?
The timing could not be better to bring Newfoundland and Labrador natural gas to the marketplace. With the advantages of a stable long-term supply of natural gas from non-fracted sources, proximity to high demand markets in Europe and the available supply of renewable hydro power for liquefaction, LNG NL will be competitive in supplying LNG with a much lower carbon footprint. With an experienced oil and gas industry, supportive governments, existing infrastructure to manage safe transport of our product, and communities welcoming the opportunity, the formula for success is evident.
