The involvement with LNG NL has been endorsed nationally by the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (FNMPC). In addition, Miawpukek will see active participation in the project through its majority owned JV company Miawpukek Horizon Maritime Services (MHMS).

-Chief Misel Joe, Miawpukek First Nation

Historic Miawpukek First Nation Equity Agreement

Closely affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland Labrador, since 1975 C-CORE has provided research-based advisory services and technology solutions to operators looking to mitigate risk in remote or challenging environments worldwide. LNG NL has a very close collaboration  with C-CORE to tap into their extensive knowledge and expertise in ice engineering, as well as their earth observation, and remote sensing capabilities.

Collaboration Agreement with C-CORE

LNG NL has met with major International, Canadian, and Newfoundland and Labrador based construction contractors and service providers to gauge their interest in this project and understand their experience and technical capabilities in relation to this project. We have received tremendous support. This includes: SNC Lavalin, Intecsea (Worley Group), C-CORE, Miawpukek Horizon Maritime Services (MHMS), Tenaris Global Services, Pennecon and JV Driver / DF Barnes Services Limited.

Strong Engineering and Construction Industry Support

LNG NL has signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with Offshore Operators to access selected Jeanne d’ Arc Basin natural gas-related data and studies. More importantly, they have dedicated hundreds of hours of their time to progress due diligence as LNG NL advances its goal of securing firm agreements for supply of natural gas.

Oil and Gas Operator Cooperation

Recognizing the importance of this project to national and provincial interests, LNG NL has sought early guidance from the Federal Ministry of Natural Resources as we move through the environmental assessment and permitting process. Understanding that our social license to operate hinges in part on public education and transparency we have also engaged early to tap into the knowledge and experience of other federal and provincial entities including Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC); Canada Energy Regulator (CER); Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB); Government of Canada Department of Natural Resources (NRCAN) National CCUS Management Framework, and Liquefied Natural Gas Teams; and Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Industry, Energy and Technology and also with the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
